Scenarios

"Explore your way towards sustainability" (Based, in each case, on "typical" dynamic simulation models of the resource, where outcomes depend on the model specification of natural system(s) and on socio-economic parameter choices)

Virtual Visit

Some key concepts are already outlined in the presentation of WP2A, previously.  Note that, within each "Virtual World" there will be, somewhere, an appropriate Virtual Library.

Multi-player game

Constructed, in each case, as a multi-agent simulation model, permitting an individual user to be in an "agent" role and, building on that, permitting several players in the "game" at the same time.
The V GAS Build Profile – that aims at accounting personal emissions of the 3 greenhouse gases considered in this product, based on personal consuming patterns and regional or national energy and other situations.

A “scenario explorer” – The V GAS What If Explorer – that aims at exploring alternative lifestyles scenarios.

The V GAS Virtual Library – that aims at showing further information about climate change related issues, namely scenarios developed by institutions such as the IPCC.

Actor: CITIZEN.

A single and multi-player game – The V GAS Game – whose objective is to attain a better “sustainable score” by adjusting lifestyles after a launcher of events triggers some variations in the user’s profile that require action in order to re-establish at least previous patterns of consumption.
